Okay, so my Aunt was telling me about this really good German restaurant in Hickory (not farm from Taylorsville, where the field is). I'm thinking THC invades the place for dinner Saturday. As much as I'd love to cook for you guys, after playing all day I'd rather have other people cook for me. I know my Dad really wants to check it out too. Anyone else?

.....As I posted earlier. I think you may be talking about the Old German Schnitzel Haus I'll be bringing stuff to make sammiches for myself, and beer for all ;D. Other than that I plan to buy cooked food. I'm up for anything, anyplace, including the German place and Hooters They's free breakfast at the hotel. Early weather for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Fulda........Hi each day 63, partly sunny. Lows Friday 41, Saturday 44. As a point of reference, the inside of a refrigerator is 37. Soooooo, if yooz change your minds about camping and want me to reserve another room or two, now's the time. No-Show, my tent heater has your name on it. I can put walls up on my 10x10 and put my famous single burner and lantern in it for heat. A place to dress in the morning. Whatever yooz want. G

I saw Low 70's for the high, low 50's for the low. Hell of a lot warmer than last years sub-freezing temps.
And I'll have at least one single burner stove to warm up some water for tea/cocoa/coffee. Plus, I might bring along a dutch oven and a grill, just to do some stuff if I get real hungry or something.
I'll have directions to the German place for Saturday night.

We're going to be at the Holiday Inn Express, Hickory-Hickory Mart. I gots a 2 double bed suite for $108/night, taxes included. We's maxed out with 4 guys....mispeld and his friend and Vyo and me. I just checked, and they still have one or two 2-double bed rooms and single king bed rooms. $84.50 + taxes. I'm just guessing that most of the other hotels are booked or as nearly booked as this one, and probably are in a similar price range. Maybe another one or 2 guys will "wuss out", too, and you can split the cost. Or, camp out and shower with us (Let me rephrase that..... ). We'll work out something in any case. G

Accuweather has dropped about 10 degrees since I checked a couple days ago. Lows are still upper 40's though.

I was thinking more like an extra hour of recovery time in the hotel NO GOOD MF WEATHER FORECASTERS!!!! I know they just make shit up.....hit themselves in the nuts with a stick....left one hurts more = rain, right=sunny.....something like that! Now the useless bastards are calling for rain on Friday early, before 2pm. Then ok the rest of the weekend, but with temps Friday night 37, Saturday night 35!! Stand by, maybe they'll make more shit up G

Yo, mispeld......... Going through my spare parts, I found my A-5 R/T grip. I put a double-trigger kit in it way back. Sooooooo......iff'n your newfangled A-5 won't accept your old double trigger, will it accept a whole vintage A-5 grip with a double trigger already in it? I will bring it no matter. G

I don't know who's going to drink all of those boozes. I'm sure not. I turned over a new leaf when I passed out on the floor of the afore-mentioned pirates' ball, woke up near dawn, passed out again in my car with the engine running, woke up at noon, drove my sorry ass home, called in sick for work, and laid up for two days with the hangover from hell. No more for me! ................Yeah, right! Bring it ;D I didn't see Johnnie Walker listed. Truthfully, I wouldn't drink it. But, I'm bringing very nice Johnnie Walker caps for all of yooz. At least we could wear SOMETHING the same! G

Random thoughts at 12:15am........... Waiting for the sleeping pills to kick in. Running around like a spastic the last several hours loading the car and wondering what I forgot. The hotels and eateries are in a heavily populated area with tons of shopping and such. I hope a lot of the 1,000+ players stay in that area so we don't look so conspicuous (terrorists!? ). Hell, our hotel is next to a freakin' furniture outlet mall. I printed out the game rules. 14 pages of mostly what we all know. Just a few things I've not seen before....Don't use your barrel to barrel tag. Use your free hand.......There is a referee hierarchy. The different levels wear different color shirts.......We have to wear two 6" pieces of team-color tape, one on the back of our mask and one on the front (Won't that make it hard to see? ).......No glass in the camping areas or field (I'm bringing plastic beer cups to pour out our cans and bottles into ) My dream would be to have Woody and Todd show up and surprise us. But, we all need to respect each other's situations. Maybe next time. As for what we should tell anyone who asks where Woody and Todd are.......Well I checked, and it's OK to let people know the truth. That they finally felt comfortable enough to come out of the closet, and we wish them the best in their new love nest in San Francisco. ;D Anyone, specifically those rooming with me, bringing a lap-top or i-pad or smart-phone with internet connectivity? See you playahs tomorrow! G
