OK, you Irish tunes-loving-Flogging Molly-good taste in music mo-fo's. At the recently enjoyed-to-the-max tour kick-off concert at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Bruce yelled "Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!" and tore the roof off the place with this...... And I did a Riverdance in the aisle ;D G

BTW, I wrote this review of said concert..... Report from E-Street, Atlanta...... Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band opened the 2012 Wrecking Ball tour in Atlanta last night. We were there in fantastic seats just to the left, front of the band in the club section. When the Boss came to our side he was just about singing eyeball to eyeball with us. The performance was, as expected, phenomenal. 24 Songs total, including the entire Wrecking Ball album. The band was expanded to include a 5 piece horn section and two additional singers. As usual Bruce gave 110%, trying to injure himself by back-flopping into the audience for some crowd surfing, and dancing/singing on a 6-inch wide rink wall right in front of us. Highlights included some smoking sax solos by Jake Clemons, which would have brought the crowd to their feet, except they never left their feet all night. The intros of the band members, after about 5 songs, included Bruce referring to the late Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici "If we're here and you're here, then they're here!" An amped-up version of "Dancing in the Dark" brought a little girl, who had a sign "I'm the girl", up to dance with Bruce. He picked her up and handed her back to her dad after they danced together. The most thrilling moment happened during "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out" when they came to the line "...and the Big Man joined the Band". The rousing music stopped on a dime to dead silence. Bruce stood front and center among the audience, silently, fist raised in the air, as the crowd roared for a solid five minutes in tribute to Clarence, the band picking up right where they left off afterwards. The Boss chose Atlanta for opening night, he said, because the city had become something of a second home, as he recorded all of his albums here over the past decade or so. In the end he praised the unbridled enthusiasm of the audience saying "Thank you, we really needed that." Well, we really needed Bruce, too. G

Been on a big Joe Strummer/The Clash trip lately (plus Billy Bragg). One of my favorite Joe Strummer songs.
