How did I miss this thread? Oops! Well, it was totally expected, so I just yawned and shrugged my shoulders. As I've said before, what's the difference? They all work for the same corporate interests. The only difference is that the Democratic Party is more subtle about it. But, when it comes right down to it, they're all the same. I've pointed out before how the powers behind the scenes never allow either party to really forward their so-called ideologies, only their careers. The (wholly corporate owned) media always makes sure that the pendulum keeps swinging back and forth so nothing ever really changes. And now that the activist judges on the Supreme Court opened the floodgates to allow unlimited corporate and foreign dollars to dominate our political campaigns, the manipulation will be perfected, and the same folks will continue to always end up as winners and losers. When the Republicans controlled every branch of the federal government, nothing really changed. "Spending" (AKA-Funneling cash to defense contractors, giant agra-businesses, "energy" companies, etc.) soared. Joe Six-Pack's wages continued to stagnate. The "conservatives" ran us over an economic cliff. When the Democrats took over, the same corporate parasites just kept hogging the dollars. The talk changed, but little else. Joe Six-Pack is lucky to have a job. Healthcare "reform" didn't reform anything. The massive private healthcare insurance bureaucracy that didn't even exist 25 years ago is still there, siphoning off 25% of our healthcare dollars and producing exactly zero healthcare. The US is still the only developed economy that allows sickness to be a for-profit financial opportunity. "Reform" my ass! Wall Street reform? A joke. Our parasitic banking system still allows insane interest rates ("usury" in the Bible) even while we taxpayers lend the banks cash at near-zero interest. So, now the Republicans control a house of congress. Well, woop-de-friggin'-doo! And the government will be "gridlocked", as if it has been otherwise for the past 3 decades. And what influence will the Tea Party have? Exactly zero. When push came to shove the powers that be made sure 2 of every 3 of their candidates lost. Can't have real change in either direction, don't you know! Not good for business as usual Welcome to the United States of the S&P 500! G

Now I hear that some idiots want to privatize the TSA! Wonderful. I mean, privatizing healthcare, prisons, and military services has worked out so well So, let's think this through.......For-profit airline passenger screening..... OK, for a small fee you can choose to get patted down by a hot stripper! "Want a happy ending, big fella?" Those nekkid pictures from that walk-in X-Ray machine? Available for purchase on the new "Joe's Airline Security" website And counting on minimum-wage workers to keep bombs and guns off of airplanes? Hell, yeah! On second thought, what's the difference? After all, there is little or no screening for the tons of commercial freight packed into the cargo holds of passenger jets, anyway. That would hurt profits. Soooo.....Just climb aboard and hope for the best! ;D G
