March Madness to some is more important than the fight that is on going in the US government on issue that threaten the very fabric of our nation. Those same Jocks that could not tell you if or whom might be their congressman. We hold them up on some sort of pedestal, while this governing body seeks to destroy our nation.
It get worse every year, people seem to care about sport more than the life around them.

Tech got screwed out of it (Wake Forest, who we beat, and who we had a better record than, was chosen over us). The NIT I'll watch though. |

i wasn't gonna watch the tourney at all but.. WVU WON THE FRIIGEN BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! HOLY SHIT. how can I not watch it now  |

Absolutely uncanny! First, I wore my alma-mater Temple hat to work. That night Temple got upset. Then, I wore my Villanova hat, and Nova, a 2 seed, gets knocked off by Saint Friggin' Mary the same night. But, never fear. I still had Georgia Tech  Soooo.....I wear My GT hat last night and tech goes down.  This guy I work with, also from Philly, had a mild heart attack a few months ago. He makes a request......Don't ever come to work with a hat with his name on it!  Come to think of it, I better never wear my G-Man hat to work Oh, yeah......The original subject of this thread........This republic started to die way back in the 80's when our government began to dismantle our industrial base and ship it overseas. It's been on the life support of borrowed cash ever since, until the plutocrats of the banking cartel screwed up their own rigged game and exposed our true condition. But, they still got to take our tax dollars and retain ownership of our politicians. Bottom line......We've been a plutocracy for decades, so fill out those brackets, guys, kick back and have a beer. ;D G |

Speaking of beer...
Take a case of beer, a handle of Vodka, and add Lemonade. That stuff is dangerous. Gets you drunk!
Also Vyo, I had WVU going to at least the Elite 8 (I forget...). Though my Championship was Kansas vs Duke...but honestly I'd rather see Kansas lose to Northern Iowa!

yea..as much as I like WV.. they don't have a chance against UK.... especially with Truck out with a broken foot.
quarter finals I have looking something like :
Mid West : Michigan St vs Tenn (Ohio st's gonna choke) with Michigan going on
East : WVU vs Kentucky..Kentuck going on
South: Perdue vs Baylor (only cause i like seeing Duke Fail.) and Perdue moving on
West: Butler and Kansas St.. Kansas going on.

USA can take England. Worst case, we take 2nd in the group and move on to elimination play against a slightly tougher team. But the way we've been playing, and the way England likes to underperform at World Cup, we could take first.

yea. I watched the 2nd half of that game.. first time I'd seen Kentucky play.. I expected better from them. It was like watching the 2006 Sugar Bowl.. only in basketball, and not Georgia.  I don't see them getting past Duke though... but we do have a very strong defense.. we'll see |
